FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS •
I have a low cervix. Can I use a cup/disc?
Yes. R/evolution cups and discs come in a variety of sizes. If you have a lower cervix than average, the smaller sizes may work best for you.
Can a cup/disc get lost inside me?
No. It is impossible for a cup to get lost inside of you as your cervix is the only opening that is inside your vaginal canal. R/evolution cup/disc cannot fit inside one's cervix unless dilated (as it becomes when giving birth).
Can a cup/disc get stuck inside me?
No, but it can feel as though it is when the vaginal muscles are tense or its suction (only applicable in cups) is in place. Remember that during removal staying calm relaxes the vaginal muscles and therefore contributes to a more comfortable removal.
Can I wear the cup/disc while running or exercising?
Yes, definitely! Because of the comfort and the feeling of wearing-nothing-at-all that R/evolution cups/discs provide during use, users usually feel more comfortable wearing them than wearing a pad.
Can I use a cup/disc for postpartum bleeding?
No, it is not advisable to wear a cup/disc for post-partum bleeding not just because the contact would be painful but also because of possible infections due to open wounds.
What are the benefits of using a menstrual cup/disc?
There are plenty of reasons you should make the switch. With R/evolution cups/discs, you can experience rash-free, odor-free, leak-free, and waste-free periods. R/evolution cups and discs are eco-friendly and affordable since it is reusable and you will not have to keep buying disposable period products.
What are the risks of a menstrual cup/disc?
If a menstrual cup or disc is too small or too big for you, its size may lead to leaking or discomfort.
What happens if I leave my cup in too long?
Leaving in your cup/disc for too long may lead to staining or lingering odors in the cup/disc. Infection may also be a risk if cups/discs are worn for more than twelve (12) hours which is still so much longer than you can wear your pad/tampon for.
