Sterilizing the Disc
Using a pot.
Rinsing the disc
Rinse the disc using running water.
Preparing a pot
Fill a pot with clean water until the water height surpasses the diameter of the disc.
Boiling the water
Boil the water in the pot.
Sterilize the R/disc
Put the menstrual disc in the boiling water and watch the disc as it sterilizes, making sure that it doesn’t keep touching the pan itself
Sterilizing the R/disc
Let the water boil for 1–3 minutes before turning off the stove.
Submerging the R/disc
Let the disc stay in the freshly boiled water for 2–5 minutes more.
Removing the R/disc
Scoop the disc out of the water.
Reinserting or Storing
Let the disc cool before inserting or let it dry before storing.
If you are sterilizing and using your R/disc for the first time, sterilize the disc for at least 15-20 minutes.
